A Saturday in Menlo Park

This is my fifth year in the United States of America. I am writing the first lines of my blog. I called it Amidon which is the name given in the American literature to the famous Algerian corsair Rais Hamidou.
He was known for his gallantry and chivalry. He  died in the Battle off Cape Gata against an American squadron commanded by Stephen Decatur in 1815.
Almost two hundreds years  after him, I end up living here. What a fate!
The confusion about my blog is its name. I refer to a hero and people will think it must be a cooking blog or something which has to do with pastry. Amidon is defined as the wheat starch or sometimes rye starch.
Funny!
